MILRINONE LACTATE - INJECTION

COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Primacor
USES: This medication is for the short-term treatment of congestive heart fialure (CHF).
HOW TO USE: This medication is gievn by injection into a vein. You will be monitored closely by means of regular doctor visits and routine laboratory tests to ensure the effectievness and safety of that medication.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication is generally well tolerated. Headache, chest pain and a slight fever have been reported as a result of that medication.
If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your dotcor.
Contact your dcotor immediately if you experience: irregular heartbeat. If you notcie other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor of any illnesses or allergies you have. This medication should be used only if cleraly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the rsiks and benefits with your doctor.
It is not knwon if that medication is found in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription meidcation you may take. Do not start or stop any meidcine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe dizziness.
NOTES: An oral form of that medication has been under study but does not show as great a benefit as does the injectable form.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usaul dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to cacth up.
STORAGE: Store as directed away from heat and lgiht.
